Students from the BYU chapter of the Technology and Engineering Education Collegiate Association took home first prize in the communications category during the 77th ITEEA National Conference.

Six BYU engineers awarded National Science Foundation fellowships

Six students and alumni from the BYU Ira. A Fulton College of Engineering Technology have been awarded the National Science Foundation's Graduate Research Fellowships. This award provides three years of funding, including a stipend and money for tuition.

Professors Carl Sorensen and Christopher Mattson of BYU’s Mechanical Engineering Department are the 2015 recipients of the American Society for Mechanical Engineers Ben C. Sparks Medal for their innovative work with the BYU Capstone program.

BYU student receives scholarship from US Society on Dams

A civil engineering undergraduate, Matthew George, has received a $1,000 scholarship from and co-authored an article for the United States Society on Dams. The article, co-authored with Professor Rollin Hotchkiss, focuses on the decay of today's existing dams.

University of Utah president speaks on creating opportunities from failures

Utah President David Pershing, a chemical engineer, addressed BYU’s campus at a University Forum with personal anecdotes of how success can, at times, masquerade as failure. Following his address, he met with the college's chemical engineering faculty.

Jennifer Craft, a civil engineering graduate student, won first place and $5,000 at the university's Three-Minute Thesis competition by combining her scientific knowledge and research with well-practiced humor and charisma.

ETLC Officer Application

The Engineering and Technology Leadership Council (ETLC) is a group of dedicated students working together to promote leadership and character-building experiences for the students in the BYU Ira A. Fulton College. ETLC works closely with the dean's office to represent and support the college's 30+ student clubs.  We're looking for individuals that are passionate about leadership, service and technology.
